“Equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ”
–Ephesians 4:12

At the heart of our parish’s life is our ministry of caring and responding to those in need of physical, spiritual, or emotional comfort. To enable this faithful action, please let the church office know if you or a loved one is in the hospital or in the need of prayer. Pastoral Care at St. Edward’s takes many different forms and we seek to serve all those who are in need.

Eucharistic Visitors
Following the command of Jesus to visit the sick and the imprisoned, Eucharistic Visitors bring church to those who can’t make it to church themselves. EVs visit, bring Communion, and pray for the homebound and hospitalized members of the St. Edward’s family.

If you believe you may be called to spend time with individuals and families in times such as these, please contact Fr. Jason Lucas.

Intercessory Prayer Team
There is an intercessory prayer team that prays for those on our parish prayer list every Wednesday morning.

Contact: Judy Starkey, 952-475-2968.

Prayer List
During our weekly worship, we remember all those persons who have been commended to our prayers, including those in need of healing in body, mind, or spirit, the deceased, those serving in the military, those who are pregnant, and those who are newborn. As an opportunity for personal ministry, consider making praying the Prayer List a part of your own spiritual discipline.

The list is found in Prayers of the People each week and a more detailed list is put out in our monthly newsletter, The Lampstand. If you would like to add or remove someone from the Prayer List, please contact the church office: 952-473-2262.

Prayer Shawl Ministry
This group devotes themselves to distributing prayerfully knit, soft shawls to people in need of prayer and warmth. If you or someone you know would like to be served by receiving a shawl, please contact the church office: 952-473-2262.
