From children’s ministries to the Gardening Angels, the good work of committees support most parish programs at St. Edward’s. Opportunities to serve on all of these are available, you need only to contact the ministry’s coordinator or convener to learn how you might participate.
Of these opportunities, three most directly contribute to the overall leadership of our parish:
This committee consists of people who have a gift for numbers. They convene monthly to monitor the parish’s finances and make informed and prayerful suggestions to the Vestry regarding our budget.

The Team develops a theme for the Stewardship season and serves as a means of contact with the parish regarding our Stewardship goals and progress.

According to A Dictionary for Episcopalians, “The Vestry is the legal government and decision-making body of a parish church, consisting of the Rector/Priest-in-Charge and elected lay representatives. Its duties include calling the Rector, approving the budget, making policy, and approving expenditures.” St. Edward’s Vestry currently comprises seven members: Co-wardens, Clerk, and the remainder making up the members-at large. Our Treasurer is not a voting member, but brings financial knowledge and the suggestions of the Finance Committee to inform the Vestry’s financial decisions.
Members in good standing, giving, working, and praying for the Kingdom of God are eligible for election to the Vestry. Nominations are received by late November and approved by vote at the Annual Meeting in late January.
