Morris has a broad career in finance with both nonprofit and for profit organizations and since March of 2014, holds the position of Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of American Public Media Group the parent organization of Minnesota Public Radio. Prior to joining APMG and MPR, Morris served as the Vice President of Finance and Administration for the Amherst H. Wilder Foundation from September 2009 until June of 2014. Prior to working at the Wilder Foundation, Mr. Goodwin served as president and executive principal of The Hogan Group, executive vice president and chief financial officer of Vivius, Inc. senior vice president and treasurer at Deluxe Corp; corporate treasurer of American Express Financial Advisors in Minneapolis and various other positions in commercial and investment banking including JP Morgan Chase and Morgan Stanley. Mr. Goodwin is a graduate of Williams College and the Stanford Graduate School of Business. Mr. Goodwin lives with his wife Donna and has two adult children (Lindsay and Morris III) in the Twin Cities metropolitan area. Mr. Goodwin serves or has served as a director of the Minneapolis Foundation, St. Paul Area Chamber of Commerce, Twin Cities Rise!, Minnesota Public Radio, the Minnesota Orchestra, the Metropolitan Economic Development Association, BMC Industries, Charities Review Council, Search Institute, Episcopal Diocese of Minnesota, Winthrop Leasing Corporation, and Mathstar Inc.
Morris Goodwin, Jr. was ordained as a deacon by Bishop Brian N. Prior, in June 2013, being called from his 22 year faith journey at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Minneapolis. He served as an intern in preparation for the diaconate at St. Matthews Episcopal Church for 15 months, and joined St. Edwards in October 2013 as its deacon.

Fun Fact: Morris is an audiophile, loves to sing the blues and gospel but can’t read a single note of music.
